I'm Scott Pollack. I've spent 19 years in business development and partnerships, helping startups grow into big companies and big companies think more like startups.
My career has taken me from enterprise sales at Dow Chemical to building partnerships at American Express, leading BD at the social analytics startup SumAll, and serving as VP of Business Development & Services at WeWork.
Along the way, I founded Hot Pot Culinary Events (a social cooking events company) and Firneo, a learning community for the next generation of Partnerships, BD, and Ecosystem leaders. I also wrote a best-selling book called What, Exactly, Is Business Development.
Today I run Firneo, teach workshops to thousands of students on business development and deal-making, and write about the craft of building strategic partnerships.
My focus is on creating growth opportunities through strategic partnerships and new business lines — helping people and organizations figure out how to make the right deal at the right time.
